HEREFORD

Race 4 No1 MONTREGARD (Nap)
Trainer: Tom Lacey – Jockey: Stan Sheppard

MONTREGARD steps into the handicap arena having opened his account on a second start under Rules at Warwick in the spring. He has more scope for progression than his rivals, and though his opening mark does not look a gift he could easily carry on from where he left off.

Race 5 No3 KESTREL VALLEY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

Starting with a third trainer in less than a year, KESTREL VALLEY can provide another winner for the Twiston-Davies combination. The mare has benefitted from a change of scenery already and was unbeaten for her previous handler, so there is pressing reasons for the nine-year-old to make an immediate impact and complete a hat-trick in this mares only handicap chase.

Race 6 No7 NOBLE SAVAGE (Each Way)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Jordan Nailor

NOBLE SAVAGE does not always give his all and therefore comes with risks attached, but he has plenty of ability when he cares to use it and on this return from a summer break it could be the right time to catch him. Adding to the allure is that his stable is going through a hot streak.

EXETER

Race 1 No13 WEAVER’S ANSWER (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Vaughan – Jockey: Mr Edward Vaughan

Given the same name as an excellent song by the band Family, WEAVER’S ANSWER can hopefully keep it ‘in the family’ as he’s ridden by his trainer’s son. The grey looked to have plenty to spare when scoring on his return to action at Uttoxeter, and even though this is a very competitive contest he should earn.

Race 3 No4 LOUNGE LIZARD (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: Harry Cobden

LOUNGE LIZARD delivered the second of as many wins over fences with Cobden on his back at Taunton in April before the combination finished third in a better race than this at Aintree. Fresh and well following his summer at grass, the Kayf Tara gelding can make an impact on his return and get the better of the unexposed Manofthepeople.

Race 4 No6 KING OF THE LAKE (Each Way)
Trainer: Jeremy Scott – Jockey: Rex Dingle

KING OF THE LAKE could represent the value play in this as both his runs over hurdles against Brentford Flyer at Wincanton and Oakley Dancer at Newbury were full of promise. There’s plenty amongst the opposition to ensure he goes off a price offer the place option, and he should be in the shake-up.

Race 7 No2 CALSHOT SPIT (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Mickael Nolan

CALSHOT SPIT is a rare bumper runner for rookie handler Channon but not without ability. In the colours of Mick Channon he can have a say in a race where there’s no public form to go on.

YARMOUTH

Race 4 No7 MOUSH (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

MOUSH wasn’t beaten far on a first outing after a breathing operation when fifth at Kempton last week. Murphy was on board that day, and will know more about the horse. The combination should improve for a return to a grass surface and the long home straight should also suit the selection.

Race 6 No4 KITBAG (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

KITBAG was having a first run since the early spring when just out of the money at Bath last week. After hitting a flat spot was staying on at the finish and may benefit from the stronger handling of former champion Murphy, on what could be a good day for the Channon stable.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No9 QUEEN’S MUSIC
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Few jockeys are riding with the confidence of Ryan who should get the best out of QUEEN’S MUSIC. The selection was only narrowly denied on her Lingfield debut but couldn’t back it up at Epsom where she became unbalanced. On this more conventional track she can make her first start of the Tapeta surface a winning one.

Race 5 No7 SHOW BIZ KID (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Sean Levey

SHOW BIZ KID can make the best of the weight he receives from penalised favourite Age Of Time. The son of Acclamation has troubled the judge on both starts and worked well on an artificial surface at home ahead of this first run on the Tapeta.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 3-9)

5, 3 x 1, 5, 6 x 7, 1 x 4, 11 x 5, 8, 10 x 7, 1 x 3, 2
