CARLISLE

Race 4 No5 BEAUPORT (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey Jordan Nailor

Ultima Chase winner Coragh Rambler needs respecting on his return to the fray, but the horse I’m most looking forward to is BEAUPORT. The six-year-old ran well one each of his five starts last season, one which concluded with a fine fourth behind Part Business in a valuable handicap hurdle at the Aintree Grand National meeting. he is very well regarded at Grange Farm Stables, and needs to be followed whether he wins or not today.

Race 5: No3 GOOD RICK AT ALL
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Sam Twiston Davies

GOOD RIKS AT ALL enjoyed a bountiful campaign last winter when he was unlucky to run into some very useful rivals like Jonbon and Barrichello. He couldn’t justify his place high up in the market in the Mersey Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree, after being balloted out of the Coral Cup, but having had time to strengthen and mature he can deliver on his handicap debut.

Race 6 No7 NICEANDEASY
Trainer: Nick Alexander – Jockey Conor O’Farrell

NICEANDEASY won two of his last three chase outings at Doncaster and Ayr, and this smooth traveller can make further progression from an appealing place in the weights for the long-distance handicap chase. Track, trip and ground should play to the nine-year-old’s strengths.

HUNTINGDON

Race 1 No1 AUCUNRISQUE (Nap)
Trainer: Chirs Gordon – Jockey: Com Cannon

Former high-class hurdler Pentland Hills will probably start favourite for this fascinating match after scoring on the flat at Haydock. He’s getting 6lb from the penalised AUCUNRISQUE but might find that foe too hot to handle. The Nap buckled down well to deliver on his own debut over fences at Uttoxeter, and is possible the best prospect in the trainer’s stable. he’s a horse that can develop into a contender for the Arkle Trophy at next years’ Cheltenham Festival.

Race 4 No4 ADMIRALTY HOUSE
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Tom Cannon

ADMIRALTY HOUSE did well to score on his hurdling introduction at Kempton after taking a keen grip for most of the contest. If that’s served to take the fizz out of him he can confirm his superiority over Age OF Sail, despite being worse off under a penalty.

Race 6 No5 BOMBER’S MOON (Each Way)
Trainer: Niger Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Finn Lambert

Although conceding age to his opponents, BOMBER’S MOON could be hard to keep out of the argument as he wasn’t beaten far by Presenting Yeats on his latest start at this track. This longstanding maiden has a talented conditional that knows him taking 7lb off his back.
