29/03/2022 – Tuesday’s Best Bets and Tips

Neil Morrice outlines his best bets and tips for Tuesday’s British meetings at Fontwell Park, Uttoxeter and Wolverhampton on 29/03/2022.

FONTWELL PARK – 29/03/2022

Race 5 No4 ZESTFUL HOPE (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Longsdon – Jockey: Paul O’Brien

ZESTFUL HOPE put his best foot forward to open his account at Hereford where he appeared happy on the better ground and at what was a slightly longer distance. As it was only his second run over hurdles there should be more to come in this first handicap assignment.

Race 6 No3 AERONISI
Trainer: Evan Williams – Jockey: Adam Wedge

As the least experienced in the field and on debut for his trainer, AERONISI is worth monitoring in market exchanges. He troubled the judge on a couple of occasions for his previous trainer and has been with Williams long enough to have fully acclimated into his new surroundings.

Race 7 No4 SEA THE CLOUDS
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Brendan Powell

Rambo T will be a warm order for the concluding bumper but SEA THE CLOUDS is a value play to topple him. The selection ran well in bumpers at Fakenham and Ludlow and has taken well to hurdles on the Lambourn schooling ground.

UTTOXETER – 29/03/2022

Race 2 No5 PRINCE DES FINCHAUX (Nap)
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

The hooded PRINCE DES FINCHAUX had an impossible task against City Chief on debut at Hereford, yet gave that more experienced rival plenty to think about. He will be a lot more streetwise and can outpoint Arizona Cardinal in what looks a match between the pair.

Race 4 No10 CHANTILLY HAZE (Each Way)
Trainer: Phil Dando – Jockey: Isabel Williams

CHANTILLY HAZE doesn’t do anything in a hurry, but has shown on her last couple of starts that she can pick up a race of this nature. She can stay on to earn a cheque of some kind and at a decent double figure price.

Race 5 No2 APPLE ROCK
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Kielan Woods

APPLE ROCK was an early casualty in Niblawi’s race at Southwell last week. That happened on the back of an encouraging earning run at Hereford. The gelding is none the worse for his uncharacteristic spill and poised to open his account.

Race 7 No6 TOUCHY FEELY
Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Nico de Boinville

TOUCHY FEELY might have scored on her debut at Newbury but for hanging. She has the clear beating of Jasmine on that run and with the benefit of the experience can go one better.

WOLVERHAMPTON – 29/03/2022

Race 2 No2 BOND BOY (Nap)
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Theodore Ladd

BOND BOY showed great improvement to run Swilcan Bridge to a short head at Southwell. The Equiano colt should progress further and can take the measure of likely favourite Mumcat.

Race 6 No4 SWILCAN BRIDGE
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: David Probert

Bond Boy will provide a perfect line onto the chance of SWILCAN BRIDGE following up his Southwell success in this first handicap assignment. The Helmet colt showed gritty determination to take the spoils that day, and at the respective prices I’d preferred to fellow recent scorer Homeric.
