CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 4 No2 CHASE A FORTUNE (Nap)
Trainer: Chris Grant – Jockey: Sean Quinlan

CHASE A FORTUNE claimed a minor cheque on his first run over jumps here and was a very popular order before being trumped by Royal Mogul at Newcastle. He’s been a very consistent performer and should deservedly open his account at the main expense of Virtuoso.

Race 5 No1 LOUNGE LIZARD
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: San Twiston- Davies

LOUNGE LIZARD has started favourite on both chase outings without managing to justify the support. He’s looked far from bing the finished article, but now has a great chance to get his act together as he steps up in trip on an easy track that should play to his strengths.

LEICESTER

Race 3 No2 HIWAY ONE O THREE (Nap)
Trainer: Chris Gordon – Jockey: Tom Cannon

Although up a notch on the class ladder, HIWAY ONE O THREE looked such good value for his wide margin Market Rasen triumph last week that he should follow-up under a 7lb penalty. His trainer could hardly be in better form, and excels with progressive young horses like this.

Race 6 No3 MIGHTY MONARCH
Trainer: Fred Hutsby – Jockey: Mr Martin McIntyre

These colours have been carried by top hunters over the years, and while MIGHTY MONARCH isn’t as obviously well qualified to take out this as his rivals, he is unexposed in points and could prove a surprise packet.

SOUTHWELL

Race 1 No10 THE TRON (Each Way)
Trainer: Derek Shaw – Jockey: Darragh Keenan

THE TRON just came up short over this course and distance last week when ridden by Keenan for the first time. The grey has finished second in four of his last six outings, and deserves to enjoy the rub of the green.

Race 4 No2 FRENCH INVASION

FRENCH INVASION did us a good turn when a well backed winner on debut at Kempton. He struggled before converting as a 4-11 shot at Lingfield but has learned from that. He’s in a far hotter race against Mighty River and Ramsensky, but can remain unbeaten.

Race 8 No9 BILLIAN (Nap)
Trainer: Phil Kirby – Jockey: Madi Patzelt

BILLIAN has a slight swing in the weights with last week’s Wolverhampton conqueror My Boy Jack. The pair are drawn close together in this sprint and should again fight out the finish ahead of the dangerous Stallone.
