AYR

Race 2 No5 SIZING POTTSIE (Nap)
Trainer: David Pipe – Jockey: Tom Scudamore

SIXING POTTSIE is an interesting arrival into Pond House from Ireland, having scored over fences for Jessie Harrington at Navan back in March. He also ran the high-class Melon to six lengths in a conditions chase at Gowran and is now in a position to successfully exploit his novice status as a hurdler.

Race 3 No2 BESTIARIUS (Each Way)
Trainer: Gillian Boanas – Jockey: Tom Midgley

Front runner BESTIARIUS is a frequent earner at this level and can give it a good shot off a forcing ride. He finished out of the money for the first time in five attempts last time, but with conditions in his favour can take away another cheque.

Race 5 No1 NELLS SON
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Danny McManamin

NELLS SON appeals as one of the better bets on this card as he goes straight into a handicap on his first outing over fences. A dual bumper and novice hurdle scorer, he has the potential to do well on the northern circuit and has a former champion conditional rider in his irons.

LEICESTER

Race 2 No5 SASSY BELLE (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

Ultra-consistent SASSY BELLE has unfortunately run into a couple of useful foes. There’s nothing ungenuine about the filly, who gets on well with her pilot and looks a solid entity to post another big earning run.

Race 4 No5 BE FRANK (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Ron Hornby

BE FRANK put in an eye-catching effort when not far out of the money on his Newbury introduction, where as a 50-1 roughie he was beaten only three lengths into sixth by Skysail. It will be in the lap of the gods whether he handles testing conditions at the Oadby course, but if doing so he can make an impact, as he’s well regarded at Kingston Warren.

REDCAR

Race 1 No4 PROJECT BLACK
Trainer: Bryan Smart – Jockey: Harrison Shaw

Showcasing colt PROJECT BLACK has earning form at a Grade 1 track behind him after getting into the shake-up in Shaquille’s race at York. He handled the cut in the ground, which is a decent ticket to take into this novice in which Scotts’ Moon possesses similar credentials, and is well worth a saver.

Race 2 No10 KELPIE GREY
Trainer: Declan Carroll – Jockey: Zak Wheatley

KELPIE GREY has a progressive profile going into his first handicap assignment of 742. The son of Havana Grey went down by just a head to Camilo Vargas at Hamilton on good to soft, a run which earned him a mark and puts him in a good place low down in the weights to open his account.

Race 3 No2 OH SO CHARMING (Nap)
Trainer: Grant Tuer – Jockey: Barry McHugh

In what could turn into a match with Desert Hero, OH SO CHARMING provides the value option. The gelding had some useful foes in his wake when bolting up at this course earlier in the month, and is going to relish the extra quarter mile over which he will travel today.

Race 7 No7 BLAZING SON (Each Way)
Trainer: Bryan Smart – Jockey: Mark Winn

BLAZING SON deserves to get his head in front after troubling the judge in each of his last four outings. He’s finished second on each of his career visits to this track, and is now poised to go one better.

NEWCASTLE

Race 6 No2 SOLITARY TREES (Nap)
Trainer: George Boughey – Jockey: Kevin Stott

SOLITARY TREES posted three nursery successes through the autumn, and looked like he hadn’t finished yet when defying a 6lb penalty on Polytrack last week. It’s no surprise his connections are out to strike while the iron’s hot, as he will be racing over a higher mark in a few days.

Race 8 No5 MAJESKI MAN (Each Way)
Trainer: Paul Midgley – Jockey: D Nolan

With figures of 2222 MAJESKI MAN is a sprinter who deserves a change of luck. He operates with a Swiss watch’s consistency, which is another good opportunity for him to deliver.
