The 3rd and final day of York’s Dante Festival promises to leave us wanting more of what is shaping up to be a very exciting season of flat racing.

After a week of impressive performances from some of the new kids on the block I believe we will see another one today with the Richard Hannon trained MIAMI GIRL.
A winner first time out at Newmarket 12 days ago she was slow away but was quick to latch onto the pack and from there on it was impressive.
When brought to make her challenge she just wandered around but once the penny dropped she was there to race, she was gone and not for catching to stretch away and win by a taking 5 ½L.
York 14:25 – Listed 1m | Fillies Stakes – 2022 Dante Festival Day 3
This is another selection with just one run and win under her belt, but her win at Ascot was driven up any amount of improvement to come, and that filly is GRANDE DAME.
As expected, she was a “big green” and headstrong on her first run, but once she learnt she lasted the whole race.
Ryan Moore brought her wide to track the eventual 2nd Mukaddamah who had a win under her belt coming into the race. Once Ryan gave her a squeeze you could see she wasn’t full sure on what her job was, but again, once the penny dropped, she went through the gears and was going away at the finish.
This is another very exciting filly for John Gosden to go to war with this season.
