The flat season is in full flow, and this is the traditional week where we see some of the flat start take their first steps for what every owner and trainer hopes will be a season riddled with success.

I start my selection with the wide-open Duke Of York Stakes.
We have a lot of horses that have great chances on form non more interesting than Dragon Symbol who starts life for new trainer Roger Varian, but even with his Group 1 form he is a horse I will happily leave run until he shows more this season.
Minzaal, currently second favourite in the market has leading claims but he is one to yet convince me. So, that leads me onto my selection GARRUS.
A Group 3 winner in Deauville back in August, and show the benefit of his comeback run when flying home to nearly get up in the Abernant Stakes. He dons blinkers today which I think will help him in the early stages of the race and bring him more into the reckoning where he can use his finishing burst to full effect.
At 9/1 he represents a lot of value today.

Just what you expect when you set your eyes on 22 runner sprint handicap a lot of value to be had and I think I have found one at 11/1.
MR WAGYU had a fine season last year bagging 5 wins, has had a run at Newmarket to blow away the cobwebs away. If he feels the benefit of his comeback run as he did last season you can see him being bang there at the finish.
