WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No6 SCRAMBLE (Nap)
Trainer: Conrad Allen – Jockey: Aidan Keeley

SCRAMBLE chased home two rivals that dominated the market when earning for the third time in as many outings at Southwell earlier in the week. The Havana Gold filly finds herself in a weaker race on this first visit to Dunstall Patk, and can open her account.

Race 4 No5 WAR IN HEAVEN
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Alistair Rawlinson

WAR IN HEAVEN came out of nowhere to post a 28-1 triumph at this track last week following a string of heavy defeats after joining his trainer. Now that he’s got his head in front there should be more to come from the Exceed And Excel gelding, who is in the best hands to progress.

Race 5 No8 SEND IN THE CLOWNS (Each Way)
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Jonathan Fisher

An outside gate tempers the level, in confidence in SEND IN THE CLOWNS, but the six-year-old looked like a horse getting ready to win when coming off a 200-day break to trouble the judge at Kempton earlier in the month and that should have made him cherry ripe.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No4 FRENCH INVASION
Trainer: Charlie Johnston – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

Super Mo was due to run at Wolverhampton yesterday, and his absence would strengthen interest in newcomer FRENCH INVASION, a colt by Le Havre out of a Monsun mare. The selection needs watching in the market, but any support for him would be significant and paper favourite Burdett Road has an outside draw to contend with.

Race 4 No2 CENTRAL HALL (Nap)
Trainer: Simon Crisford – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

CENTRAL HALL needs to recover from the ignominy of being turned over as a 1-4 shot at Newcastle, but he’s a lot better than he showed, and can. The Dubawi gelding retains the cheek pieces he wore that day as well as a tongue strap, and though posted wide, that remark also applies to his market rival Rumnotred.

Race 5 No2 ANNAF
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Race 6 No7 GLORIOUS ZOFF (Each Way)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Hollie Doyle

GLORIOUS ZOFF needs a check in the betting for this first run on the Flat in almost two years. Following his move to the O’Brien stable from Gordon Elliott he’s yet to run but ended his Irish career with an earning run in a Listed handicap hurdle at Listowel. He’s only just turned six, and could have more to offer than his sole all-weather triumph at Dundalk might suggest
