WARWICK – 09/12/2021
Race 1 No2 GRAYSTONE (Nap)
Trainer: Lucy Wadham – Jockey: Bryony Frost
GRAYSTONE had Greystoke well behind on jumps debut at Warwick, and although well beaten next time at Huntingdon holds a good chance at opening his account at the main expense of Saint Riquier.
Race 2 No4 CRAWFORD (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Bradstock – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies
The stoutly-bred CRAWFORD put in a much improved display to trouble the judge at Uttoxeter, belying his 22-1 odds to chase home Jack Sharp. He appears to have benefitted from a wind operation, and can again take home a cheque. Picanha is another to include in exotics.
TAUNTON – 09/12/2021
Race 2 No1 PASO DOBLE (Nap)
Trainer: Paul Nicholls – Jockey: Harry Cobden
First time cheek pieces can benefit the penalised PASO DOBLE who met a well treated foe in Timberman at Kempton and should appreciate the return to novice company. He appeals as a stand out bet on his previous winning effort at Kempton, and should outclass his foes.
Race 5 No7 OSPREY CALL
Trainer: Alistair Ralph – Jockey: Sean Bowen
OSPREY CALL dodged a tempting opportunity last week owing to unsuitable ground. The money that forced him into favourite on seasonal return at Newbury went west when he fell, but previous efforts stamp him as a horse not to be messed with, and he can make amends.
NEWCASTLE – 09/12/2021
Race 2 No10 STOKES (Each Way)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Luca Morgan
STOKES hasn’t graced the turf since landing a Wolverhampton bumper on debut in February of last year. He has something to prove on this first run back but has shown plenty at home and travels a long way. In an interesting heat he could surprise Lupus Regem and Geordies Dream.
Race 6 No1 CORNERSTONE LAD
Trainer: Micky Hammond – Jockey: Conor O’Farrell
Former ‘Fighting Fifth’ Hurdle winner CORNERSTONE LAD made a pleasing return to fences when second to Fransham at Wetherby. On a first Gosforth Park run since his defeat of Buveur D’Air he can defy top weight at the main expense of Pay The Piper.
Race 7 No2 CRYSTAL GLORY (Nap)
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Brian Hughes
CRYSTAL GLORY can add this to his brace of point-to-point triumphs and hurdles debut success at Hexham to remain unbeaten. Well regarded at Greustoke, he’s a horse to follow and can go onto much better things.
CHELMSFORD CITY -09/12/2021
Race 4 No6 MOBASHR
Trainer: Marco Botti – Jockey: Andrea Atzeni
The hooded MOBASHR is the joker in the pack as he enters the handicap sphere straight in a Class2. His success in a novice at Lingfield suggests he is better on Polytrack than turf, and it would be no surprise to see him complete a fine hat-trick.
