WINCANTON

Race 4 No2 THE WIDDOW MAKER
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

Hat-trick-seeking Cap Du MATHAN benefitted from an enterprising ride when scoring at Exeter but won’t be allowed to have things his own way with THE WIDDOW MAKER in the field. The last-named horse posted consecutive frame finishes before falling in a better race than this at Sandown. A normally sound jumper, he can lead them a merry dance.

Race 5 No7 NOBLE SAVAGE (Each Way)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston- Davies – Jockey: Jordan Nailor

NOBLE SAVAGE hasn’t always been the strongest of finishers, but for one with his level of ability he isn’t badly treated. The eight-year-old will be all the better for his comeback run at Doncaster when not far away from the money, and a big run is in the offing for an ownership that includes former trainer Jim Old.

Race 7 No8 MAGIC SAINT (Nap)
Trainer: Paul Nicholls – Jockey: Miss Olive Nicholls

MAGIC SAINT went down fighting against Benny’s King on his Hunter-chase debut at Hereford. Representing the champion trainer and his daughter, the nine-year-old can outgun multiple-point winner Envoye Special.

MUSSELBURGH

Race 5 No3 GARDE DES CHAMPS
Trainer: Keith Dalgleish – Jockey: Billy Garritty

Novice Hidalgo De L’Isle picked up a penalty for his success on handicap bow at Bangor and could be vulnerable to GARDE DES CHAMPS, whose defeat by Coral Blue at this track was given a huge boost when that one bolted up at Ayr yesterday. Garde Des Champs had previously put on a couple of earning runs at Doncaster, and is overdue a first victory under Rules.

Race 6 No2 CONCETTO ( Nap)
Trainer: Oliver Greenall – Jockey: Henry Brooke

CONCETTO looked a different horse when switched to fences and cosily landing the spoils at Huntingdon. The six-year-old looks to have turned the corner, and is in a good place to build on the success as he’s been found a weak heat.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 1 No7 SUZI’S CONNOISSEUR ( Each Way)
Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam – Jockey: Tommie Jakes

Veteran SUZI’S CONNOISSEUR has been a continual earner this year, running well to claim cheques in back-to-back visits to this course when stepped up to seven furlongs. He remains at that distance against horses that are mainly less than half his age, but can show with another frame finish that he still has something to offer.

Race 5 No2 CLOSENESS (Nap)
Trainer: Daniel Kubler – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

In this rare Classified race CLOSENESS can boss her field. The mare made it three earning runs from as many outings for her trainer at Chelmsford, and that consistency can see her gain an overdue first career success.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 3 No4 GOLDEN SANDS
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Alistair Rawlinson

GOLDEN SANDS posted a first win for his trainer over course and distance last month and appears to have greatly benefitted for the addition of cheek pieces. The chestnut also sported the headgear when placed at the same course and Wolverhampton, and as the only recent scorer in the field has sound claims to add to his laurels.

Race 5 No8 BRUNEL CHARM
Trainer: Richard Hughes – Jockey: Ethan Jones

BRUNEL CHARM came back from a four-month absence to make UNFORGOTTEN pull out the stops at Lingfield. As long as he avoids the ‘bounce’ factor he can give hat-trick seeker Follow Your Heart plenty to think about.

Race 6 No4 TOMAHAWK KING ( Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Charles Bishop

After missing his start TOMAHAWK KING stayed on well for a midfield finish behind Little Edi here last week. The Camacho colt should relish this evening’s slightly longer trip and can add to the good form of his stable with its three-year-olds.

Race 7 No3 BLUENOSE BELLE
Trainer: Richard Phillips – Jockey: David Probert

This distaffers’ race can fall to BLUENOSE BELLE, who has progressed since switching here where she’s posted figures of 412 in 2023. Probert was in the saddle for her success at the end of January, and can contribute to her return to winning ways at the main expense of Golden Dove.
