Manchester City 5/8 | Draw 3/1 | Liverpool 4/1 (12:30)

 Bournemouth 6/4 | Draw 9/4 | Fulham 9/5 (15:00)

Tricky game to call, it’s one of those where you know either side could kick on and run riot on the day – or neither really pitch up. Fulham showed how they can completely implode with their display against United last time out in the FA Cup – given the players they are missing; I think the home side could take advantage. Back the Cherries.

Nottingham Forest 21/10 | Draw 2/1 | Wolves 29/20 (15:00)

Wolves would have surely looked to use the international break as a bit of a reset on an inconsistent run of form. Forrest have put out positive displays when playing at home and if they are able to ask the right questions of a reasonably passive Wolves team, I think they could find success. Nevertheless, I think it ends as a draw.

Crystal Palace 8/5 | Draw 11/5 | Leicester City 7/4 (15:00)

The reality for Palace, and those who supported the work Patrick Vieira was doing at Selhurst Park, is that they haven’t won a single game in 2023 – not one! Currently, it just simply isn’t good enough. Leicester isn’t much better though, and they haven’t seen the need to change it up. Palace now have Roy Hodgson leading the charge and you know how I feel about a new manager bounce. Get on!

Arsenal 27/100 | Draw 24/5 | Leeds 9/1 (15:00)

With the greatest respect for Leeds, as well as you the reader, I’ll get straight to the point here. Arsenal win. They haven’t given any indication as to why they shouldn’t completely steamroll their visitors and I’m not going to try and hope to find one (granted, I might hope one exists though).

Brighton 5/8 | Draw 3/1 | Brentford 21/5 (15:00)

Brighton continues to impress me, their attacking flair and commitment to their approach is something we should all appreciate. They continue to absolutely upset the apple cart…as a so-called smaller team they supposedly have no right to attacking football from the onset and yet they continue to achieve. Brentford can be a threat, but I don’t trust them as much on the road. Back the hosts.

Chelsea 5/8 | Draw 11/4 | Aston Villa 9/2 (17:30)

Aston Villa will be a test for Chelsea, they play with confidence and swagger but more, so they play fearless football – that’s where the real danger lies. Chelsea however is a sleeping giant. They have unbelievable players who are now backed by an unbelievable budget. They will click eventually and when they do I think they will cause the league serious issues. Back the home win.

Sunday 19 March

West Ham 3/4 | Draw 13/5 | Southampton 7/2 (14:00)

Insofar as you might be inclined to accept that West Ham are starting to turn the corner, the same could be argued for Southampton. Since their horrific loss in the FA Cup to Grimsby, the Saints have shown themselves to be a difficult team to break down. West Ham might have a lot going forward, but their creativity in breaking down structured opposition doesn’t give me much confidence. I think the draw is the play here.

Newcastle 5/4 | Draw 12/5 | Manchester United 19/10 (16:30)

Monday 3 April

Everton 9/4 | Draw 9/4 | Tottenham 23/20 (20:00)

I think this is game where an upset is on the cards. Everton are playing at home (we know what the Goodison support looks like). Everton are slowly but surely piecing together a bit of confidence for themselves (We know how dependent large areas of Sean Dyche’s coaching style relies on confidence). Spurs haven’t done themselves too many favours with Conte’s departure and with such insecurity around the club I wouldn’t be surprised to see a flaky side take the field here. But then again what about our rule for a new manager bounce? Back the home win.
