It has been a topsy turvy first two tests with the toss crucial in the outcome to both matches so far. The series decider will be played at The Oval with valuable World Test Championship points on the line.

England (21/20)

Jonny Bairstow’s freak injury has thrown England into something of a panic ahead of the series decider.

It appears likely that Harry Brook will come into the XI as a result while Ben Duckett is another possibility after he was recalled to the Test squad.

James Anderson has led the England attack well with great assistance from Craig Overton and Ollie Robinson.

Zak Crawley has been backed by the top brass of the England setup and seems likely to be given at least one more Test.

South Africa (5/2)

South Africa have also been hit by injury with Rassie van der Dussen ruled out of the series decider as well as the T20 World Cup later in the year.

The choice for them will come down to Ryan Rickleton and Khaya Zondo but other changes to the team appear unlikely.

The decision to play two spinners in the last Test might be reversed with Marco Jansen’s all-round impact missed at Old Trafford.

Kagiso Rabada is still the key player for the Proteas and could be the man who turns the match for the Proteas.

Series Decider Verdict – England vs South Africa 3rd Test

England win – 21/20

The home side hold the impetus right now and should make it count.

Having said that, keep an eye on the weather in the build up to the game as the draw (23/10) could come into play as a result.
