Friday 12 May

Mumbai Indians 1/1 | Gujarat Titans 4/5

For these sides currently up in the playoff bracket, this match is a chance to cement their position.

MI have won three of their last four matches and are building up some tidy home form winning their last three at the Wankhede.

Gujarat Titans have gone back-to-back to re-establish themselves at the top of the table.

MI’s resurgence could be linked to a return to form for Suryakumar Yadav.

Verdict: Mumbai Indians

Saturday 13 May

Sunrisers Hyderabad 10/11 | Lucknow Super Giants 87/100

The Sunrisers have lost their last three home games as the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium proves no fortress.

LSG are trying to get back up into the playoff places while the Sunrisers need wins to get back into the tournament.

A lack of runs has plagued the Orange Army this season and some good bowling hasn’t made up for it.

LSG have had the runs but lacked a ruthless streak this term and have struggled to rise in a competitive league.

Verdict: Lucknow Super Giants

Delhi Capitals 1/1 | Punjab Kings 4/5

The Capitals have stalled a little after an impressive run splitting their last four matches evenly between wins and losses.

Meanwhile the Punjab Kings have also lost quite a lot of momentum having lost their last two outings.

This is the first meeting between these two sides this season and makes for an interesting matchup of skills.

Punjab will need to negate the Capitals top order threat to get the job done.

Verdict: Delhi Capitals

Sunday 14 May

Rajasthan Royals 4/5 | Royal Challengers Bangalore 1/1

These two teams are unlikely to be happy with their position because of their ambitions.

While the Royals are in the playoff places, they have shown patchy form and really look like a team set up to dominate.

RCB can start to threaten the top four if they can go to Jaipur and win to get their campaign back on the rails.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has surpassed Jos Buttler as the Royals top runscorer as the youngster continues to impress.

Verdict: Rajasthan Royals

Chennai Super Kings 4/7 | Kolkata Knight Riders 27/20

CSK and KKR round off the weekend’s action with the Sunday evening match.

The Super Kings are out to push for a top-two finish while the Knight Riders are approaching do-or-die time.

KKR’s overseas batters have let them down so far this campaign and they have suffered from frequent collapses.

CSK seems to have once again struck an outstanding balance and look to be strong title contenders.

Verdict: Chennai Super Kings.
