Lanka Premier League, Sri Lanka

1. Jordan Cox

The Dambulla Giants have a talented top-order batter in Jordan Cox, who has recent experience in the Abu Dhabi T10 with the Delhi Bulls – and represented the Oval Invincibles during the 2022 edition of The Hundred. Cox will be joined by Somerset starlet Tom Abell at the Giants.

2. Tom Kohler-Cadmore

Globe-trotting, hard-hitting batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore is becoming somewhat of a household name on the global T20 circuit. Key for the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League and, more recently, the Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T10, Kohler-Cadmore will follow this stint at the Jaffna Kings in Sri Lanka with time at the Sharjah Warriors in the International League T20 in the UAE.

Big Bash League, Australia

3. Sam Billings

Wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings turned down the opportunity to join the Kolkata Knight Riders’ squad for the 2023 Indian Premier League. He will, however, be with the Brisbane Heat in the BBL. Billings has previously been associated with the Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers in the BBL. Fellow Englishman Ross Whiteley will also be with the Heat.

4. Luke Wood

The Melbourne Stars will have a fiery left-arm seamer in Luke Wood, who welcomed ODI and T20I debuts for England in 2022. Wood is a solid addition to a franchise looking to improve on seventh- and sixth-place finishes in the previous two editions of the BBL.

5. Alex Hales

Alex Hales was effectively in the international wilderness for several years before returning to the England – and starring in the 2022 T20 World Cup. His 86 not out in the semi-final against India was particularly impressive. He returns for the Thunder, who will chase a second BBL title after 2015-16’s success. The Thunder also have England all-rounder David Willey.

International League T20, United Arab Emirates

6. Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali will captain the Sharjah Warriors in the maiden edition of the International League T20. The England all-rounder had signed for MI Cape Town in the SA20, which coincides with the ILT20, but eventually withdrew. He is one of six England stars recruited by the Warriors.

7. Rehan Ahmed

The Gulf Giants have as many as eight England recruits, including Rehan Ahmed. The 18-year-old leg-spinner joined the Test squad for late 2022’s series against England – and was publicly tipped by the late, great Shane Warne for a promising future. All-rounders Liam Dawson and Chris Jordan are among the Giants’ other English arrivals.

 SA20, South Africa

8. George Garton

Tall fast bowler George Garton has played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League – and has been signed by the Joburg Super Kings in the SA20. He could enjoy the extra pace and carry offered by South African pitches. The Johannesburg franchise also have England duo Harry Brook and Lewis Gregory.

9. Reece Topley

England seamer Reece Topley missed the 2022 T20 World Cup due to injury. He is a wily bowler and a promising addition to the Durban Super Giants’ squad. When the Giants meet the Paarl Royals, Topley could be up against as many as three England big-hitters in Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan and Jason Roy.
