Parker vs Chisora 2

Parker vs Chisora 2 - preview and betting tips

There are two highly anticipated fights taking place this weekend and here’s a breakdown on how I think things will pan out from a betting perspective.

Parker vs Chisora 2

In our final big heavyweight bout of the year, we find two fighters looking for a win, for two different reasons perhaps.

Parker, 29, won the first fight on a split decision just 6 months ago; he needs this win to be taken seriously and to perhaps ensure a smoother route to a world title fight.

Chisora , now 37, needs this fight to ensure a few more pay days in the twilight of his career.

After enduring a first round knock down Parker had to sustain further pressure in the early rounds. However, as the fight progressed, Parker began to use his jab and ate into Chisora’s early lead.

Verdict – Parker vs Chisora 2

Chisora, for me, has the heavier punching power and his style is similar to the legendary Joe Frazier with his cross-arm defence and crouched movement. He’ll look to start the fight fast once again and I feel his best chance of success is to catch Parker napping early on.

Parker, on the other hand, is a better boxer but doesn’t possess a serious knockout punch. He moves well though and puts some nice combinations together and will need to keep the pressure on and work the body of Chisora without getting caught.

Patchy’s Picks – Parker vs Chisora 2

This fight takes place once again in Manchester and, as a result, Chisora should have the bulk of the spectators on his side. This could potentially give the former Zimbabwean heavyweight a minor edge.

Parker tends to switch off at crucial times in his fights and can give his punters the nervous jitters. His youth and better boxing though, might be enough for the judges to give him the nod. With no real standout lane to run on I’m predicting the fight to go much the same as the first one.

Jake Paul v Tyron Woodley 2

In our other rematch of the weekend taking place in Florida, Jake Paul (a social media personality) and Tyron Woodley (a former UFC Welterweight Champion) lock horns once again after they also were embroiled in a split decision going the way of Paul just 4 months ago. There is no love lost between these two and I am hoping and expecting a lot more aggression and anger in “No. 2”.

Verdict – Jake Paul v Tyron Woodley 2

With Woodley accepting this rematch at short notice following the late withdrawal of Tommy Fury, one could be excused if you were worried about his conditioning and training schedule leading up to this fight. However, as a true professional, I’m confident he’ll be in good nick.

It was Woodley’s first boxing fight, that split decision, and I’m expecting him to come on leaps and bounds from that and hope he’ll use his feet, up his work rate and throw a powerful right hand he was so hesitant to use last time. He had Paul in trouble a few times but failed to take advantage.

Paul, for all his annoying attributes, fought better than I expected in August, he has the height and reach advantage over his opponent and does a lot more in each round enabling the judges with an easy way out should they need it if the fight goes to the judges’ cards.

Patchy’s Picks – Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2

The last fight was fought in Paul’s hometown of Cleveland. This time around it’s in Tampa, Florida. As mentioned earlier, if Woodley can up his work rate, throw caution to the wind and fight like he wants to win it, I feel we could have ourselves an upset. If he hasn’t, then I feel Paul will probably do enough to seal a points victory.
