IPL Final | Sunday 28 May 2023
Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad 16:00

To Win Match
Chennai Super Kings 10/11 | Gujarat Titans 87/100

CSK beat the Titans in Chennai earlier this week, but with the final taking place at the enormous home of the Gujarat team, the big match might have a very different feel to it.

MS Dhoni’s leadership has given this CSK team a relaxed confidence that has served them well throughout the campaign.

CSK have been helped by the exceptional form of Devon Conway, who has lit up the IPL this term.

Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana has proven tough to get away, but hasn’t received the plaudits that he deserves.

The Titans’ Shubman Gill has been in terrific form when it comes to getting beyond three figures, having already done it three times this term while he also has a further four fifties to his name.

The Gujarat bowling lineup boasts the three leading wicket-takers in the tournament, with veteran quick Mohammed Shami leading the way.

The IPL icon that is Rashid Khan, has followed close behind. Meanwhile, Mohit Sharma has also been throwing his hat into the ring time and again.

The defending champions will hope that their Qualifier 2 win over the Mumbai Indians will restore their momentum as they chase back-to-back titles.

Verdict: Chennai Super Kings 10/11

Dhoni might just be the difference in the big match. Back the Super Kings to claim yet another IPL title.
