WETHERBY

Race 1 No8 RELKADAM (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Alan Doyle

The most interesting bet on this card is RELKADAM. The nine-year-old has weaned himself onto a mark from which he’s prevailed in the past, and though his favourite course is Catterick he can play a big part here with a new jockey in the hot seat.

Race 2 No1 HALLIGATOR
Trainer: Kim Bailey – Jockey: David Bass

HALLIGATOR returns from a long absence after scoring on jumps debut at Uttoxeter. He’s ready for this return and can defy a 7lb penalty.

Race 6 No2 GLORY BRIDGE
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Brian Hughes

GLORY BRIDGE has knocked on the door and his recent defeat at Doncaster has been boosted. Off a 5lb higher mark he should take care of business under the champion jockey.

SOUTHWELL

Race 2 No1 ARDMAYLE
Trainer: Ali Stronge – Jockey: Brendan Powell

ARDMAYLE rolled back the years to beat Mr Coldstone over course and distance and can confirm that superiority over his younger foe. The selection is holding his form well, operates better here than anywhere else and can shrug aside his welter burden of 12st 2lb.

Race 3 No4 BLETCHLEY CASTLE
Trainer: Miss H Brookshaw – Jockey: Mr Thomas O’Brien

Most horses in this hunter-chase represent genuine amateur connections which is a Corinthian spirit greatly welcomed throughout the hunting division. Several have winning form in points and at this level, including BLETCHLEY CASTLE. The now 14-year-old is the old man of the party but has won at this track when making his seasonal return, and though that happened back in 2019 he was in great form last season when his figures were 42312.

Race 4 No1 DENSWORTH (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Luca Morgan

Gitche Gumee has squandered a couple of good chances and his market rival DENSWORTH is preferred in what should be a strictly two-horse war. The selection landed some decent bets when opening his account by a wide margin at Newcastle. His trainer is amongst the winners, and with progression on the cards he will be hard to beat.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 1 No7 GLORIOUS CHARMER
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Aidan Keeley

GLORIOUS CHARMER is proving an owners’ dream, and though badly drawn needs to be taken seriously as he tries for a third victory at Dunstall Park from his last four outings. He was only narrowly denied when bidding for the hat-trick last week and can get back in the groove on this eight successive outing here.

Race 5 No4 EVANIA (Nap)
Trainer: Kevin Philippart De Foy – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

The one with scope to make big strides forward is EVANIA, whose only defeat happened in Listed company. When making her handicap debut the Golden Horn filly readily landed the spoils. That form has been boosted, and granted progression on only her fifth career start she should prevail.
