The Asia Cup proved bittersweet for Pakistan, who played their part in eliminating India only to lose the final to Sri Lanka.

To Win Match
Pakistan 4/6 | England 6/5

Pakistan

Pakistan have a lot to play for as the country attempts to rebound from the devastating flooding that has wrought untold suffering on its people who will look to their beloved stars for some solace.

Babar Azam will lead the Pakistan cause both as captain and as the standout batter alongside fellow lynchpin Mohammad Rizwan.

The PCB are playing their cards close to their chests having not named a squad two days out from the opening match.

Pakistan will want to show that they are real contenders for the T20 World Cup against a quality touring side.

England

England have been robbed of red-hot Jonny Bairstow thanks to an injury sustained while golfing, with Alex Hales earning a recall after three years in the wilderness.

They had a good home season, although fate threw their white-ball programme some weather challenges.

This series feels like a top-order trial for England, and no doubt Jordan Cox and Harry Brook will be given opportunities to impress.

England have once again picked three left-arm seamers with David Willey, and Reece Topley joined by Luke Wood.

Verdict: Pakistan 4/6

On their own turf, Pakistan should be able to beat an understrength England.
