FONTWELL PARK – 07/12/2021
Race 3 No3 ZULU DAWN (Each Way)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Lilly Pinching
ZULU DAWN attracted a welter of support on first outing for this stable at Uttoxeter, and after looking well beaten early in the home straight rallied to finish third. He has the same conditional rider that’s been on him the last twice, and can take home another cheque whilst holding a solid winning chance
Race 4 No8 HAMILTON DICI (Nap)
Trainer: Kim Bailey – Jockey: David Bass
With few miles on the clock there is likely to be further improvement from clear cut Warwick scorer HAMILTON DICI. The former French-based gelding showed alacrity to sail home on that first chase outing, and looks one to follow.
Race 5 No12 MOONAMACAROONA
Trainer: Alan King – Tom Cannon
Several hold claims in this mares’ novices’ hurdle, but the one to be on is MOONAMACROONA. The former dual bumper winner has proved costly to follow in her two hurdling starts at Market Rasen, unseating when an evens favourite and then being turned over at 4-5. However, that market confidence is indicative of her ability, and she can put the record straight for her in-form trainer.

Race 2 No5 MR WASHINGTON
Trainer: Tom Symonds – Jockey: Lorcan Murtagh
With five wins from six starts over hurdles for his trainer, MR WASHINGTON is proving to be a serious money-spinner. After his sole defeat at Warwick he underwent wind surgery, the help of which was advertised when he battled home on seasonal return at Chepstow. Now back in the winning habit, he’s a horse that should pay to follow.
Race 4 No3 COME ON TEDDY (Nap)
Trainer: Tom George – Jockey: Jonathan Burke
A fascinating novices’ limited handicap chase can fall to COME ON TEDDY. The seven-year-old brings serious hurdling form to the table on debut over fences, and can stave off the challenges of Call Me Lord and Sail Away. Call Me Lord adds a class element to the race but is making the switch to fences later than expected, while having to give way 11lbs to my selection, who has done everything right in preparation for this new discipline.
Race 7 No6 FULL OF LIGHT
Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Nico de Boinville
A tendency to jump left shouldn’t hinder FULL OF LIGHT at this course. The grey lost more ground than he was beaten by when chasing home Key To The Moon at Ludlow, but will have a rail to guide him now competing the other way round.
SOUTHWELL – 07/12/2021
Race 3 No10 SEABOROUGH (Each Way)
Trainer: Derek Shaw – Jockey: Darragh Keenan
Dual purpose horse SEABOROUGH returns to the all-weather for the first time in almost a year, having earned on his last three starts in handicap hurdles. Exaggerated hold up tactics have been employed on him this winter, and if he’s to trouble the judge tonight a strong pace will help.
Race 7 No8 WINEGLASS BAY (Nap)
Trainer: James Ferguson – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt
New Bay gelding WINEGLASS BAY has shown promise on both starts at Salisbury and Kempton and should now be cherry ripe to deliver on this first visit to the newly laid Southwell track. His main rival on paper is Yantarni, who has a similar profile, but a market check on newcomer Teumessias Fox is also recommended.
