MARKET RASEN – 18/11/2021
Race 3 No6 THUNDERSTRUCK
Trainer: Emma Lavelle – Jockey: Thomas Bellamy
THUNDERSTRUCK has picked up the tempo since being equipped with cheek pieces as well as benefitting from a recent wind operation. His near-misses at Worcester and Uttoxeter make him the value bet to down hat-trick seeking Jesuitique.
Race 4 No2 THE EDGAR WALLACE (Nap)
Trainer: Kim Bailey – Jockey: David Bass
With only three visits to the track last season THE EDGAR WALLACE continued to exhibit the promise of his earlier career in bumpers. He came back from a breathing operation to score on final start at Uttoxeter in March and has schooled well ahead of this switch to fences for a yard getting amongst the winners.
Race 6 No1 THE CINCINNATI KID
Trainer: Henry Oliver – Jockey: Aidan Coleman
The handicapper has taken no chances with THE CINCINNATI KID who has so far proved an underwhelming performer over hurdles. However, this is a poor race in which he can call,on his solid form from the Flat to get his head in front.
NEWCASTLE – 18/11/2021
Race 5 No1 ASCOT DE BRUYERES (Nap)
Trainer: James Ewart – Jockey: Alan Doyle
Brelan D’As will command a good chunk of the betting handle in this tricky veterans’ handicap chase, but could be vulnerable to top weight ASCOT DE BRUYERES. The blinkered eleven-year-old hasn’t run for seven months but has a very good record fresh, meaning that lay off is in fact to his advantage.
Race 7 No1 FEEL LIKE DE BAUNE
Trainer: Alex Hales – Jockey: Mr B Brackenbury
Kingfisher a lane is a worthy favourite but at odds-on in this bumper is worth taking on with FEEL LIKE DE BAUNE. It was only by a nose that he prevailed in a similar contest at Carlisle last month, for which he incurred a penalty, but he has scope for further progression against a horse making his debut under Rules.
WINCANTON – 18/11/2021
Race 6 No2 AMARILLO SKY (Nap)
Trainer: Colin Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell
AMARILLO SKY hails from a yard getting into gear and has prospects of going from tape to line in this novices’ limited handicap chase on a course that should suit his free-going style. He put in an encouraging first effort over fences at Chepstow, and can build on it.
Race 7 No3 NORLEY
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Mr Beau Morgan
NORLEY ran into one at Exeter but then made no mistake in go8ng one better at Stratford. He is the upwardly mobile candidate for this novices’ handicap hurdle, and can defy a rise in the ratings.
