NEWMARKET

Race 1 No7 SO LOGICAL
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Benoit De La Sayette

Malinka and Lady Flora are well related newcomers but the way to go should be with SO LOGICAL, who made a promising introduction when second here and will surely be more streetwise.

Race 3 No7 SEA THE THUNDER (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Kingman colt SEA THE THUNDER raised his game to give Goodwood Odyssey plenty to think about at Salisbury, and should be fine tuned for this third visit to a racecourse. Out of a mare by Sea The Stars, he is going to relish this step up to a mile and a quarter and looks the best bet on the card.

Race 6 No3 AT VIMEIRO
Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam – Jockey: Ryan Moore

Following his good run in the Royal Lodge Stakes here, where although seventh he was beaten only four lengths, AT VIMEIRO should open his account. His claims are enhanced by having Ryan Moore in the irons for the first time, while the majority of his opponents are paying a first visit to the track Meaning he also enjoys an experience edge.

FONTWELL PARK

Race 1 No1 GOODWIN
Trainer: Chris Gordon – Jockey: Rex Dingle

GOODWIN dug deep when scoring by a wide margin on his debut over jumps at this course back in February. He’s penalised for that, but should have more to give in this match up with race fit Roger Pol, who rates his main danger.

Race 4 No6 KANSAS DU BERLAIS (Nap)
Trainer: Gary Moore – Jockey: Jamie Moore

KANSAS DU BERLAIS showed a liking for this figure-of-eight track when positing back-to-back successes last year. He wasn’t able to justify on course support when last seen in a competitive handicap at Sandown, but this should be far more his cup of tea. Top weigh Mr Freedom is respected, but could struggle to give 7lb to the selection.

Race 7 No2 FORT DE L’OCEAN
Trainer: Mike Roberts – Jockey: Bryony Frost

FORT DE L’OCEAN opened his account for Roberts over this course and distance in early September after earning on his three previous outings for the stable. He enjoys a break between his races, and on this first run for seven weeks he needs respecting, especially with Frost back in the saddle.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 2 No11 WHITELEY WAY
Trainer: Roger Teal – Jockey: Charles Bishop

WHITELEY WAY makes her debut on Polytrack after a very good effort in soft ground at Bath where she finished well in the race won by Kiss And Run. The daughter of Sixties Icon is improving from race to race, and can thwart the consistent Zoumoon.

Race 5 No4 TRAIS FLUORS (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: William Cox

TRAIS FLUORS enjoyed a return to the all-weather when third here last week. It was his first run on sand for more than three years, and gives his connections encouragement that he can post an overdue success, which if happening will be his first since June, 2021.

Race 6 No5 JEFF KOONS (Nap)
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Rab Havlin

Frankel colt JEFF KOONS is a consistent earner, has a good draw and makes only a second appearance on Polytrack, having finished second here on his debut in the spring. The beautifully-bred individual made Metal Merchant fight tooth and nail for the prize when beaten a nose at Ascot, where he was also denied in a photo on his previous start. Representing top connections, he should prove very hard to beat.

Race 8 No12 WATERLOO SUNSET (Each Way)
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: Rob Hornby

WATERLOO SUNSET gets a new jockey for this attempt to better a six long sequence of earning efforts. The five-year-old is deserving of what would be a first success for well over two years, and this is only the second time he’s raced here.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 2-8)

11, 4 x 1 x 6, 4 x 4, 14, 3 x 5, 2 x 4, 6 x 12, 8, 6
