Race 2 – MARIE’S SECRET 29/20
It was soft ground when Marie’s Secret finished runner-up tackling this trip at Thirsk recently and is narrowly preferred with cheekpieces a catalyst for possible improvement. Line of Fire won wearing first-time blinkers at Brighton (6f) and a 6lbs rise in weights won’t prevent a bold bid.
Others to warrant consideration include nursery debutante Unico who won a Chelmsford novice event on her second start and the generally consistent Windsor second Without Flaw.
Race 4 – BUDDY’S BEAUTY 82/100
Buddy’s Beauty has done well since being fitted with the hood. This John Gallagher trained filly only failed to complete a hat-trick when second at Nottingham last month and the previous course and distance winner can return to winning ways.
Four Adaay rates an obvious danger on the back of a good runner-up effort over 5f at Sandown. Sera Dawn holds winning form on soft ground and must be respected now only 2lbs above her latest successful mark. Each-way claims go to Gustav Graves.
Race 6 – SAN FRANCISCO BAY 53/100
San Francisco Bay delivered a first outing over 6f which resulted in a commanding success at Lingfield during July and with further progress anticipated could take some stopping despite a 9lbs higher mark.
Albert Cee finished runner-up both starts this season and may go close raised 1lbs for his effort over 7f at Lingfield AW five months ago. Soft ground poses no problems for Thornaby Pearl, who cannot be dismissed as a three-time Class Six winner. Mumayaz might feature.

Race 1 – COSA SARA 42/100
The 6lbs penalty may not be enough to prevent Cosa Sara from replicating his narrow win over 7f at Ayr. Zumaaty also arrives following a fine effort at Ayr having been denied a head tackling 1m and must be respected.
Mac Ailey is generally consistent. Drops in trip after finishing third off this mark at Beverley (1 ¼m) last-time-out. Banner Road also merits consideration.
Race 2 – ESQUIRE 4/10
Newcomer Esquire can make a winning debut. The David O’Meara trained gelded son of Harry Angel may prove up to the task. Nominal Event could go close if building on a pleasing debut third over 6f at Thirsk.
Emu War finished third attempting a course and distance maiden on her second start and cannot be ruled out. Amancio completes the shortlist.
Race 4 – RESTORER 15/20
None of the five can be dismissed though Restorer is a confident selection set to follow up his neck success over 1 ⁹⁄₁₆m in this class at Chester nine days ago. Ayr Poet turns out quickly under a penalty after winning by a head tackling 1m at Ayr on Friday.
Previous course winner Detective holds sound claims on the back of a rock-solid second-placed finish at Carlisle (1 ⅜m). Goodwood runner-up Dundory will have no issue on this ground and also warrants notable consideration.
Race 7 – EARN YOUR STRIPE 31/20
Earn Your Stripes shaped nicely in defeat when fifth over 7f here last time. Could go close dropping in distance off an unchanged mark. Ffos Las runner-up Willingly is three from twelve tackling 6f and needs to be included alongside Woobay who would be thereabouts on form he showed when fifth at Thirsk on penultimate outing. Others with each-way claims are Mr Trevor and Chrismoltisanti.
