BEVERLEY – 14/09/2022

Race 4 No8 STORM FOX
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

STORM FOX can ignite a good fixture for the Easterby stable by underlining the promise shown on her debut at York. That midfield finish saw her take a walk in the market and come home under sympathetic handling, meaning that she should have learned plenty from the experience. She has plenty of speed on both sides of her pedigree, and should earn.

Race 6 No5 FRANKENDAEL (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

Camelot colt FRANKEDAEL is out of a Pivotal mare, and unlikely to be inconvenienced by softening underfoot conditions. He also proved easy to back on debut at Ripon, but stayed on nicely to take home a minor cheque. He will need to progress to take out the experienced Broadspear, but that one has had plenty of chances, and he can do.

Race 7 No2 JUST HISS
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

JUST HISS keeps peppering the board with frame finishes and has run well on each of his visits to this course, which included a win back in 2016. The fact that he’s getting longer in the tooth doesn’t seem to stop him, and he’s more likely than the vast majority of his rivals to produce his best.

SANDOWN PARK – 14/09/2022

Race 3 No8 LEADENHALL
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Unraced colts should hold sway over the previously experienced Lahab and LEADENHALL is one that really takes the eye. The son of Kingman is out of a Group winning mare and bred to handle any cut in the ground. He’s given out some good signals ahead of this debut and should be closely monitored in the market.

Race 4 No5 BAYSIDE BOY (Nap)
Trainer: Roger Varian – Jockey: William Buick

The addition of blinkers can assist BAYSIDE BOY in opening his seasonal account in the Listed Fortune Stakes. The New Bay colt has been asked some big questions, and after being far from disgraced behind the ill-fated Coroebus at Royal Ascot took home a cheque in the Group 3 Thoroughbred Stakes at Goodwood which makes him the horse to beat.

Race 7 No7 MISS BLUEBELLE
Trainer: Marcus Tregoning – Jockey: Dougie Costello

From a stable amongst the winners, MISS BLUEBELLE has the appeal of a lightly-raced improver in this fillies’ handicap. The daughter of Awtaad left her previous form some way behind when a decisive scorer on handicap debut at Chelmsford. A 4lb rise in the weights for that shouldn’t be suffice not to prevent her following up.

YARMOUTH – 14/09/2022

Race 3 No5 VILLE DE GRACE (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

An emphatic winner of this race in 2021, VILLE DE GRACE has recently experienced stalls issues that prevented her running in Group 1s at Goodwood and Deauville. She will have horse behavioural issue specialist Gary Witheford with her at the start today, and based on her work with Solid Stone has a huge chance of taking the spoils.

Race 7 No4 SOCIETY LION
Trainer: Ed Dunlop – Jockey: Ryan Moore

Time Step has scope for progression after running into a tartar last time, but the top weight could be pushed on cope with SOCIETY LION who went close at Thirsk last week and now has Ryan Moore on board. Moore twice won on the gelding when he was trained by Sir Michael Stoute, and knows him well.

KELSO – 14/09/2022

Race 4 No5 CHARLE BRUNE
Trainer: N Mechie – Jockey: Richie McLernon

CHARLE BRUNE ran better than his eventual finishing position indicates at Cartmel, where he was in the lead at the final fence only to get swamped on the long run for home. It was a pleasing return to fences in many respects and leaves the gelding with room for manoeuvre on this very different track.

Race 6 No1 SPARK OF MADNESS (Nap)
Trainer: Lucinda Russell – Jockey: Stephen Mulqueen

SPARK OF MADNESS concedes lumps of weight to his foes in this novices’ handicap chase, but has the wherewithal to achieve it and follow-up his fencing debut triumph at Perth. He promises to be a better horse in this disci0line than he was over hurdles.

Race 7 No6 MOONSHINE MOLLY
Trainer: Olly Murphy – Jockey: Sean Bowen

By Westerner out of an Accordion mare, MOONSHINE MOLLY has the pedigree to do well in bumpers and in spite of returning from a long absence can take this out at the main expense of newcomer Blue Clover.
